Transform The Light In Your Home

Adding light-filtering window treatments to your home transforms harsh sunlight into a softer light, reduces glare, and protects your possessions from fading.

Many of our shades filter out at least 75% of the sun's harmful UV rays when installed over double-glazed glass windows. Some products and fabrics provide even greater protection, up to 99%, when the window treatment is fully lowered or closed.

Other window treatments – such as Pirouette® window shadings and Silhouette® window shadings – not only allow you to filter light but also to redirect it. These shades have vanes that can be positioned to deflect and direct sunlight precisely where you want it.

Innovative Light Control Features

Shades with Duolite®
Hunter Douglas offers the innovative Duolite® feature on some of their products, which combines a light filtering and a room darkening fabric in a single shade, providing limitless options for privacy and light control. Duolite is available on Silhouette® Window Shadings, Duette® Honeycomb Shades, and Vignette® Modern Roman Shades.

Top-Down / Bottom-Up Shades
Another great feature is Hunter Douglas’ unique Top-Down / Bottom-Up operating system, which allows you to open your shades from the top or the bottom. That way you can filter some of the sunlight and still enjoy the natural light.
